Trump
scares me very much. And yet Ted Cruz scares me even more so . Trump
is a billionaire out for himself and his ego. Trump is Biff from Back
to the Future. His prejudice is that of the bully, the man who cares
for nothing but himself. He would trample on every minority there is
and yet his motivation is ignorance, poor judgement a lack of
understanding and of empathy. Yet he has a skill like Farage of
fooling the dispossessed, the oppressed and the poor to sound like a
champion.
The
threat are those who rise with Trump, the hard right, the racists and
those who breath the air of Weimar. Even the elite of America's
Republican Party are waking up to that whiff of Weimar and starting
to understand the consequences of the racist, right wing, homophobic,
sexist trail of gunpowder that they so carefully placed across the
political landscape,
Ted
Cruz and Trump are a threat to those who are seeking to find their
own identity, to celebrate their identity and to live freely. Cruz is
someone who is an idealogical threat, a true believer and a stalking
horse for a crusade aagainst those who are not White, Anglo-Saxon ,
conventional and male.
Cruz
shows clearly why the ancients saw their gods as capricious and
limited to the world The word they used the name “Theos“ implied
that their gods were limited and tied to the world. Someone who has
great power and beleives that they know the mind of and all powerful
deity is more of a threat than a fool who is a billionaire. We
should all remember the words of Homer
““The
gods envy us. They envy us because we’re mortal, because any moment
may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed.
You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here
again”
We
