Waiting for Corbyn........

The collapse begins. The events unfurl. Who could have seen the collapse of the returning grammar schools and Fox hunting will not return. Hard Brexit wilters on the vine. May has the choice and power at any price brings its own problems. Stuck between the competing claims of the DUP and the revenant of UKIP the Tories approach meltdown. The full moon of June 9th brought a shift of paradigm and with it a new outlook and a new possibility. A new Coalition has been born. The Tory DUP coalition is a coalition of callous hard faced individuals. You look at the hard, pinched face of Arleen Foster and you sense layers of prejudice and bigotry that reaches back 400 years. The words *Conservative and Unionist party summon up the Protestant ascendancy and the Orange orders march again.
May is caught between the desire of the DUP for no welfare reforms and an open border cannot satisfy the blue Kippers in the parliamentary party. And she is tired and the world has changed.
We are waiting for Corbyn. People you never expected praise him and the Blairites and Brownies eat humble pie. Last Thursday now seems inevitable. Some of us saw it coming but we were laughed at, mocked and yet we were right.

Trump will not come here. Both he and May will be gone in a few months. The tide turned and the populist right is pushed back. The dustbins of history are filled with copies of the Daily Mail and the Sun. And we all know that it was the Sum that lost it....
I still feel very tired but am recovering. The possibilities have changed , a grim Monday that I once feared never came. In Wales we will not be a naked people under the acid rain of a Tory government. The old ways have failed we stand liminally on tbe edge of a new future. Let us embrace it.....and all these things not a year from Brexit..events, dear boy, events...

The DUP holds Theresa may in its power. The DUP is a party that is opposed to women`s rights, it denies climate change, opposing LGBT rights and equal marriage. It roots laay in the extreme protestant view that the Pope is the anti-Christ It has terrorist links with the UDA and the UDF. What is funny is that no one has yet mentioned it. The condemnation aimed at Corbyn over SF and the peace process is never aimed here. The military types only mention the IRA and never the UDF or UDA. I wonder if that is because this brand of "terrorist" are right wing and defend the status quo. They excuse the terrorists that share their views, Its ok to have gunned down left wingers but hey if they keep Theresa in power that is fine. They like some terrorists dont they but they will never condem them. The right wing military types never mention the cooperation between the British state and the Unionists paramilitaries. They do not understand the iconography of the Union Jack and the monarchy because it's their own iconography and so they fail to comprehend.
I like to think its because they donnot read history, that the Daily Mail, the Sun and the Daily Express have never written much about the Unionist terrorists. When may uses the words Conservative and Unionist party she uses a phrase that echoes in the past. it sends shivers through people in Glasgow and Liverpool. the term Unionist originates from the old Liberal unionists form the 19th century who merged with the Conservative party. they did wish for Ireland to be free and here we have it all those years later we have the sinister, dark echo sounded again.

It is no wonder that Ruth Davidson as a gay woman did not like the arrangement that Theresa May has with the DUP.. Davidson the implications that words like Unionism has in Glasgow and their are still Orange lodges linked to the DUP in Liverpool and Glasgow. The DUP and May`s government no longer understand the political age or situation they are in.

The paradigm has shifted. The headline in the Sun talks about the march of Red Jezza and the South Wales Evening Post talks about "painting the town red".The term "fluid" begins to be used to describe the political situation the future is uncertain and cannot be predicted. This is how change begins
The rebellion that was Brexit, the rise of the left were part of the process . This is what Farage fears . Suppose the working class is waking up and sees him for what he is. The language has changed as red Jezza appears. The young those who understand social media and the Ecosocialiss march towards power. When Kensington and Chelsea falls we know who Londoners blame for poor security and the horrors of London bridge. The bloggers, the twitterers and the social media activists have promoted a new form of political activism. As the language, metaphors and outlook change we see the right confused and the Blairites invoke denial to hide the words they said. It's wonderful to see.. the upholders of a previous paradigm are undergoing a conversion on the road to Damascus. The discourse has changed and although we are not yet in power those who saw this coming a long time ago smile and wait patiently ... Stephen Crabbe`s majority in Pembrokeshire was only a couple of hundred vores. The majority of Alun Cairns, the repelant Welsh Secretary of State for Wales only two thousand. Something is rotten in the Tory state....
Will Brexit occur? The question remains. when the British empire decolonised it took years for transfer of power to be sorted out and that was between the British state and the respective colony. With Europe there are 27 states to negociate with. There will be no Brexit by 2019 There will be a future European Parliamentary election in the UK that year and by that time, who will be the government of the UK? Fluidity and unpredictability are all around us.
Political change and paradigm shift occurs when political activists understand how a new technology enables ideas and outlook to reach a whole new group of people. Labour victories in Canterbury and Kensington and a 15,000 majority for Caroline Lucas and the Greens are all part of a political realignment. a new left is being born. We must all decide whether we support it or not. In the 60s the phrase "if you are not part of the solution then you are part of the problem" was part of the dialogue. It has never been more relevant. Welcome to the coming Ecosocialist age........rise like lions after slumber, we are many they are few......
