Of meat chlorinated chickens and animal welfare......

It begins with chlorinated chickens as part of the post Brexit trade deals. It will go on to include growth hormones in American meat sold iin the UK. It will grow further as the Tory DUP deal gives access to the NHS to American corporations. ITV allows Piers Morgan to endorse the coordinated chickens and lackeys from the Daily Mail give humour to the situation by making jokes about chlorinated swimming pools and children peeing in them.

Without the chlorine, without the growth hormones...the horrors of the American meat industry is immense. When the the American Socialust Upton Sinclair wrote the book called * the jungle's gver 100 years ago he faced legal action and death threats. Then the American meat industry was vile ..today it is even more so and far more powerful in Trump's America.

Animal welfare standards will decline , Give has already talked about it. The Adam Smith Institute ways in arguing for less control over the meat industry. We can see the future, cheaper food , less rigourous standards. Poor food for poorer people.

But there is more. The authors of " Eternal Tteblinka claim that the origin of the industrial capitalism lay in the slaughter house and that German Nazis visited the American slaughter houses and uses the design in the death camps. in America today 30,000 pigs have their throats cut at the push of a button. Truly it has become as Isaac Bashavis Singer said " To all animals humans are Nazis...*

The meat industry offers us an inability to feed the world. In the long run a vegetarian diet will feed more of us, more effectively and more completely.

The meat industry does nothing to help stop climate change. The mass meat market is driven by international capital. We are being forced to repress non meat options and those who seek alternatives are seen as different and odd. Meat is not only murder it is also a means by which the post Brexit Uk and the globalised economy lessens standards and lowers our compassion...behold the future...

The King James lt Bible translated the Hebrew word as master of animals. It should have been translated as steward....quite a difference....
