The limitations of the price mechansm....At last a potential Prime-Minister talking of the crisis of capitalism. A Chancellor in waiting who does not think the price mechanism solved problems universally . The price mechanism and the market it brings into being is brutal, unconscious and violent. I have always been horrified to think how the philosophers of the 18th century could think otherwise. Plato,Aristotle and Socrates would have asked why we allow this blind consuming mechanism that is global capitalism to be our God and our controller. Trickle down economics simply means that we allow corporations to piss upon the poor and powerless from a great hieght..

The. ' Libertarians" and the right who worship at the shrine of the price mechanisms.could hardly find a more brutal and unfree demon to offer burnt offerings to. They make a categorical error confusing capitalism with the market. Like most simple explanations they fail to understand the difference and talk of terms like "free trade" failing to understand the very relations if power make it impossible. There is no libertarian role in international capitalism,no freedom of choice and no real understanding of power and it's methods. They are lazy, ignorant and essentially narcissistic and defining freedom as what they do because they wish to do it. The modern self styled American Libertarian is merely defending anarchism for rich people and their own selfishness....and they are poorly read and shockingly educated.
