Mutti Merkel steams towards power and victory in Germany's election on Sunday. Merkel was an East German in origin. She is aware of the legacy of the 1945 when millions moved over vast areas of Eastern Europe, she was aware of this through both her family and her area of birth. That is why she welcomed refugees into German society it came from an understanding of a different time and place that was applied to the time we live in.

Johnson, the grinning visage of Farage and the ignorance of the populist
right. Yuk I feel sick....
