There is nothing knew under the Sun......Chuka Umunna

And so the magnificent seven dwarves register in Panama a private company for the funding of their 'independent' group. The private company means that they do not have to then tell us who their donors and funders are....I wonder why and who they could be..? What a funny tinge?or is this the Blair rich project? And it tells us much about the Peoples Vote

My thoughts today.....

What Chuka Umunna’s CLP says about his resignation

Chuka Umunna: the Westminster outsider who struggled to be loved ...
This was sent to members of Streatham CLP by their (right-wing) chair. We republish for information and interest. We suspect the verdict of most members in Streatham will be somewhat harsher!

Dear member,

As you are probably aware our MP Chuka Umunna has this morning announced that he has resigned the Labour whip and has left the party. Which will be disappointing for many members involved in his election campaigns over the years.

I am sure that the overwhelming majority of you will agree, the only vehicle for removing the Tory government, and building a more socially just society remains the Labour Party.

Streatham voted overwhelmingly for a Labour MP in 2017, and has voted Labour over the last seven successive general elections. I believe the electorate of Streatham will continue to want to be represented by a Labour MP.

I am therefore writing to Chuka today, thanking him for all his work as our Labour MP, and asking him to immediately call a by election, to allow the people of Streatham to have their say

The birds they sang
At the break of day
Start again
I heard them say
Don't dwell on what
Has passed away
Or what is yet to be
Yeah the wars they will
Be fought again
The holy dove
She will be caught again
Bought and sold
And bought again
The dove is never free
Ring the bells (ring the bells) that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering
There is a crack in everything (there is a crack in everything)
That's how the light gets in
We asked for signs
The signs were sent
The birth betrayed
The marriage spent
Yeah the widowhood
Of every government
Signs for all to see
I can't run no more
With that lawless crowd
While the killers in high places
Say their prayers out loud
But they've summoned, they've summoned up
A thundercloud
And they're going to hear from me
