Brexit and ambition....As Brexit talks continue..l notice that suddenly ambition can be seen clearly on the face of David Davis. As the cabinet frets, squabbles and bickers it becomes clearer that Davies eyes the main chance and thinks himself a lucky man.

The right wing press forget his voting against anti terrorist legislation. They forget the by election he caused by resigning his seat over civil liberties some ten years ago. They forget he voted in the same lobby as Jeremy Corbyn and Dianne Abbot on the issue of observation and snooping by the state. Davies knows all of this but knows that the media will never point this out.

David Davies knows that as leader of the opposition under Corbyn government that he can reinvent the Tory opposition as a libertarian party supportive of the free market and able to regroup against the return of the left and of the new collectivism.

The conservative party continually reinvents itself so that power can be maximised. It's a chameleon, it's a conspiracy aimed at power. It is an absolute monarchy whose leadership succession is regulated by regicide. If the Conservative party was a psychiatric patient it would be both a sociopath and a psychopath. It knows it has lost the next election so it calculatingly looks at the election after that. David Davis knows this and understands the monster he wishes to ride and rule. He is as ambitious as Lucifer and as cold as a lizard..behold the next Tory leader...he knows he has credentials on the bluekip wing, he can call to the libertarian right...he sees himself as the Tory Messiah waiting in the wings....
