So the drama begins There are to be 17 police investigations into Tory election expenses l The chickens continue to come home and we return to the edge. Can you imagine the implications of 17 by elections elections in the background as Brexit is unfolding and the drama of Scotland emerges. A new Thanet by election with the return of Nigel Farage commenting in the background? A minority Tory government? My imagination turns to the sins of hubris and the return of the repressed ...We live in strange times . I feel like Eliot's Magi returning to their homeland watching the people cling to strange alien gods...But hints emerge from Holland that the far rights support in Holland as the Dutch begin to vote ....
I still want to boil my head. I hear the passion in the debate on the future of European citizens in this country. The narrowness spills from the lips of IDS and his ilk. There is no understanding of the long European traditions of both Scotland and England and Wales. There is no comprehension that without Hengist or Horsa without Norman French or the West Indians or the Jews then English would not be such a vigorous and complex language . There is no understanding that Magna Cats was imposed by French Knights or that the Glorious Revolution was made possible by a Dutch Army . The ignorance is shocking and the narrow features of the shark skinned suits of the Brexiteers says all and tells all.....We live in an age where minds close and intolerance spreads...What could IDS ever tell us of our history our culture and our shared roots.I tell you BUGGER ALL ....And you know what all the Parliament's of Europe will have a say except ours...Goes that for sovereignty ..

I am talking about Piers Morgan with his simplistic ideas, his shocking ignorance , his incomprehension of history, his inability to spot irony or subtlety and his lack of understanding of any idea that is not black or white .I watched him this morning trying to talk about Brexit and Scotland and I realised that he has never changed.his mind on anything or reflected on any contradictions ...
Watching Nick Clegg on channel 4:news. I reflect that had he not put the Tories in power and had instead arranged another government that had brought in or then we would still be in Europe and the three million E U citizens and the 2 million UK migrants sorry expats living in Europe....I am Mr Schadenfreude ....
Northern Ireland Scotland the tectonic plates of Unionism buckle and crack .We are seeing the collapse of the English state. Thus time project fear will have a different tone. If Scotland votes to stay within the UK it will be voting voting against the wishes of 65 % of its electorate . Gordon Brown cannot rescue the union this time and the betrayal of the Liberal Democrats in once more being a party of Unionism is revealed. In Scotland the Greens have nearly 10% of the vote and will elect councillors all over Scotland . We stand in danger in Wales of being the last English colony of a right wing casino state on the edge of Europe. On March 1 I asked if Wales was celebrating St David's day or Ash Wednesday only the people of Wales can decide. I look with trepidation at the next two years. ..We all should.....In Scotland at present the votes are tied ...The forces of English Nationalism are finding that they are far from getting their country back . instead all of us are being offered whether we know it or not the four independent counties if the British Isles..How sweet how ironic Give, Johnson , Farage and IDS are the midwives of the collapse.....And it all happens before the Brexit talk will be completed ...Just remember it took Greenland with a population of 60,000 three years to conclude a trade deal.....
