Yesterday Dave Simpson held a meeting in South Wales with Kyle Breecher organiser of the DFLA birmingham (He's pictured below in a video still of the meeting with Breecher and Luke Jones of the Walsall DFLA ). A report last year about a secret 'football lads' Facebook group created to build for a DFLA march in Breechert's home city of Birmingham gives a flavour of the kind of character involved in the DFLA in Birmingham and the hardcore neo fascists Simpson is now openly associating with. As someone with a conviction for Assault Simpson will certainly feel at home among the DFLA as this list of leading DFLA activists with serious criminal convictions shows https://resistinghate.org/dflacriminalmembers/ In addition to being home to scores of people with serious criminal convictions the DFLA is teeming with racists and fascists. Members of the banned neo nazi terrorist group National Action have been photographed on their marches and Nazi salutes and banners from european far right are not uncommon (see picture).
It's extremely worrying then that someone like Simpson who has a conviction for assault and who is openly associating with neo fascist groups which espouse racism and carry out acts of extreme violence (https://www.independent.co.uk/…/democratic-football-lads-al… ) is imposing himself on vulnerable people on South Wales Streets, and filming them and uploading the videos to Facebook.
Today Breecher had a meeting with Swansea's Stephen 'reeco' Rees. Rees is a key figure in the DFLA in Swansea and is the South Wales organiser of the far right Veterans and Democrats party, and last year he set up a secret meeting in Swansea with Anne Marie Waters leader of the neo fascist For Britain Party. It's now abundantly clear that British fascists are making a concerted and dangerous attempt to unite the far right in Wales, indeed in the video he posted on Facebook yesterday of his meeting with the Birmingham DFLA Simpson begins by saying 'it's time to unite'. This unity drive is being done via so called 'Yellow Vest' groups that have sprung up in parts of Wales and through far right activists based around the DFLA in Swansea and branches of the Democrats and Veterans Party in North and South Wales. A cursory look through their social media reveals the same people keep coming up - the likes of Carey Roberts in north Wales, Stephen 'Reeco' Rees in Swansea and Dave Simpson in south east Wales. And in addition to that toxic mix we shouldn't forget that still lurking in the shadows is the so called System Resistance Network - the latest incarnation of the banned neo nazi terrorist group National Action formed in South Wales by Swansea's Alex Davies and Ben Raymond.

A wander through the hate filled universe that is the British far right's social media output throws up an alarming new trend : british fascists and their activists - like the phoney Yellow Vest James Goddard - are trying to exploit the homeless crisis for their own poisonous and racist ends. Their usual tactic is to film themselves in the vicinity of a homeless person and deliver a lie filled rant they upload to facebook in which they claim that people are homeless in the uk because refugees, or asylum seekers or eu nationals are getting preference when it comes to the allocation of social housing. This a categorical and racist lie.
The awful rise we've seen in recent years in the number of people on our streets has got nothing to do with migrants or refugees - it's the result of millions of council houses being sold under 'right to buy' and not replaced and viscious austerity policies and changes to the benefit system by tory government's at Westminster in the last decade.
Even worse an investigation by the Charities Commission last year showed fascists like the EDL are operating front operations purporting to give food to homeless people that in fact only gave food parcels to people who are white https://www.theguardian.com/…/charity-commission-investigat…
Worth pointing out that a 2017 study estimated that as many as a third of people on British streets are from BAME communities.
Close to home one such character who is notorious for trying to exploit homeless people for his own warped racist ends is Torfaen based 'Yellow Vest' Dave Simpson (a good friend of Stephen Goddard's according to Goddard's tweet pictured below - Simpson also posted a photograph of himself with the racist thug during Goddard's sick attempt to stir up racial tensions in Newport a few weeks ago). Simpson, who was convicted of assault 3 years ago, fills his facebook page with these self filmed videos - much to the annoyance of local homeless people he films according to our sources. On a video posted tonight he talks about meeting 'some DFLA guys who are coming to Wales tomorrow to sort a few problems out ' - which sounds very ominous given the DFLA's record of racism and violence https://www.facebook.com/davidsimpson.fairwater?__tn
Simpson is also a close ally of another Torfaen based far right bigot - the former 'independent' councillor for Pontypool Mike Harris. We cannot stress enough how important it is that no one is taken in by the far right's crocodile tears for the homeless. The likes of James Goddard, Dave Simpson, the EDL Yellow Vests, the DFLA and the 'Hipster Nazis' of Generation Identity are trying to exploit the homeless for their own twisted racist ends.
Historically speaking the far right's treatment of the homeless has been appalling. After gaining power the nazis categorized the homeless as 'workshy' - arresting thousands and sending them to concentration camps where they were forced to wear black triangles.
When they weren't attacking striking workers or smashing the windows of jewish businesses in london gangs of Mosley's blackshirts used to beat up homeless people 'for fun'. In the 1970s a leading National Front activist spoke of 'cleansing' the homeless from society 'along with the jews'. It's the current policy of the neo fascist party Britain First to privatise all public housing while the far right leader of Hungary Viktor Orban recently passed a law making being homeless a criminal offence https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-45860488
There's a wealth of evidence to show what the far right really think about the homeless - and when they do feign concern for them it's only to use them to promote their racist ideology.
