I watched the debate it revealed much. I looked into Leanne Wood`s face. I could see the Ecosocialist within trying to get out. I saw her bound by advisors, pr gurus, and others. i felt for her..then I heard the words she should say coming from Alice Hooker-Stroud, Alice used words I not heard for ten year in a Welsh deabate "workers cooperative " she talked about not "trusting large companies". She took the agenda further, raised issues and woke the debate up. The BBC debate next week will be even better.
I saw Kirsty Williams, the longest serving political leader in wales. I sure did a bad job when I tutored her in A level politics. She had every fact, every comment within her grasp. yet she said nothing. The way that Leanne Woods had been shackled meant that she could say little more than Kirsty Williams yet I saw in her eyes, the Ecosocialist within ..wishing to break free. Its going to take a few Greens in the Assembly to liberate her ........
The Liberal Democrats are desperate they have moved nearly all their activists into Brecon and Radnor. They are not going to retake Cardiff Central.in South wales West there are a few activists around Peter Black..all whom seem to be employed by him. The regional Liberal Democrats are about to be snuffed out. I heard from the guy who runs the cafe below that Peter came in two days ago and kept going on about how it was between him and UKIP..desperation stalks them. They supported a Tory government and they are inheriting the wind. In the 1930s Lloyd George warned the then Liberal Party that if they supported a Conservative government that they would "be used as beasts of burden and then slaughter in the abattoir" His prediction is coming true.
My little birds in the Welsh political stratosphere keep asking me questions about Lisa Rapado. I think something is being picked in canvassing. The second vote Green in 2016 message is being picked up..something is happening out there. There are still 13 days to go.........Left wing Labour activists tell me interesting things and odd things are whispered to me by prominent members of the Liberal Democrats, Plaid and others.
I draw a vale over Labour and the Conservatives jeremy Corbyn may have visited Wales but Welsh Labour is still monolithic, centralist and conservative. The Conservative Leader Alan RT Davies is pro Brexit yet his family farm has benefited financially from European funding..how strange but these two leader the Ant and deck of welsh politics share so much, so many similarities so many narrow corporate approaches.
And lastly Nathan Gill ...Nigel Farage Governor-general of UKIPs last colony. Emperor Nigel has imposed Mark Reckless and Neil Hamilton upon us. Gill is a laughing stock. Christine Hamilton called him a "third rate general" thats enough for me...the contempt she has for Gill and for the Welsh people is clear.
In two weeks I think I will be still awake i think there is going to be many recounts for the last place . A victory for Lisa Rapado, Alice Hooker-Stroud.Amelia Helen WomackDuncan Rees and Pippa Bartolotti in the regional area of Wales will put radicalism back into the Assembly. it will give backbone to the Ecosocialists within Plaid, the fledgling Corbinistas within Labour. The return of Peter Black and some faceless Liberal Democrats to the Assembly will bring a dull, uninspiring coalition with Labour to power and nothing will change. its going to be an exciting two weeks.........

The leaders of the main political parties in Wales have gone head to head in a live TV debate on ITV Wales.
