Groundhog day, Friday Political speculations.....

How quickly a year goes by...how quickly Ground-hog day comes around. As I write this it looks like UKIP are about to elect a female Leader. As I write the trickle of kippers to the Tories continues and seems to be suggesting a potential for a flood. Will a female UKIP leader drive the “Grumpy old Men” who think women are “sluts” accept Diane James ...let us wait with baited breath. With Brexirt achieved, the Grammar school back what is the point of UKIP. Social class D and E have been fooled into voting UKIP using immigration as bait. Now Lawson talks about completing the Thatcher revolution. Marx was right about false consciousness as was Gramsci on hegemony. Now we are all going to inherit the whirlwind of the free market. 

Coming in this morning heard a programme on radio 4 on the plight of the haemophiliac . The UK had insufficient blood plasma and so imported it from the USA. In America people could sell their blood and so the homeless, the alcoholic and others found a way to gain money. This section of the community had hepatitis and other HIV and so spread it to this haemophiliac community. In this country after this catastrophe volunteers were recruited and the problem ceased...how wonderful is the world of the price mechanism, the America way and the institution of capitalism...this brave new world lurking like the image of Donald Trump around us all.

Last year at this time I wrote the following. I like to reflect on my thoughts..and wonder “I was thinking about the abuse being aimed at Jeremy Corbyn today. Why on earth should he sing God Save the Queen. he was standing in silence honouring the soldiers, and others who fought fascism. The thousands of ordinary people who were bombed in Swansea, in London, the ordinary people who fought and died. He is not the bigot..the bigots were in the upper classes and aristocracy it would have been there that the bigots and traitors were. In occupied Europe the collaborators came from that section of society. it was the radicals who fought back there, those who wanted a better Europe, those who wanted fair treatment for workers, a good education for the masses and a heath service...what on earth does the monarchy ever offer to that end. ? So face them JC yours is a discourse challenging the old discourse of the market, the class system and the attempt to make us all docile.
Cameron is Flashman , a cheap and nasty public school bully, you have the courage turn and face them with the truth and hold your head up. The gutless politicians of new labour now turning on Corbyn are as loathsome as Cameron. They are all as ambitious like Lucifer and as cold as a lizard to quote Abraham Lincoln”
