“It terrifies me, the fragility of these moments in our lives.”

It's time for Wales.
It's time for Wales. It's time for a free Wales.. As I leave
Ystradgynlais this morning I know it in my heart. I have long known it.
We need a Wales that is decentralised, unaligned neutal, non nuclear and
Ecosocialist. We need a Wales where energy comes from a renewable
source and that this energy is owned by the community. We need a Wales
that is multi lingual, .multcultural and one that values, informs and
describes it's traditions, culture and uniqueness. A Wales of
many faiths and of none. A country where you are Welsh because you live
here and Welsh because you appreciate its history,, culture land and
people. A Wales that is open and tolerant and excepting of identities
and differences. A Wales that is both European and Welsh a.Wales that is
Republican and egalitarian . A Wales that resembles the Scandinavian
model A Wales that rejects social conservatism; bluekippers and
narrowness.. A Wales that promotes the Welsh language and values and
understands the other numerous languages spoken there. A Wales aware of
its history and how it links Iinked to a wider European context and a
Wales of gender equality in all its varied forms. A Wales that embraces
diversity, change and dynamism. A Wales of mosques, chapels and
churches of humanists, socialists and secularists. A green Wales of
multiple parties and faiths profane and secular. A Wales of tolererance and a Wales of multiplicities.+
At the end if the 19th Century my family headed for London. They
provided a link that blended with Jewish, Spanish, Irish and a
Lincolnshire element that gave me a varied and culturally rich past.
The family members read cards on the front at Llandudno, they played
cricket , they were building estimators and railway workers, legal
secretaries and small shop keepers. Last of all they came back to Wales,
and I went to University there and I became a European Traveller
working for numerous European companies and countries . Lastly and I
became a Psychotherapist valuing continental thought and philosophy
while loving the poetry of Dylan Thomas, R S Thomas and the Mabinogion .
I am Welsh and my son has taken on a Welsh name , the family has
returned and we are no longer exiles and. I live in Ystradgynlais. And
this is why on this warm July morning as the bus leaves Penrhos that I
and many others want an independent Wales. No longer should we be a
naked people living under the acidic policies of this Conservative DUP
hybrid monster. Good morning have a great day....
