Reflections from one year ago

We were watching the Andrew Marr show this morning, He was interviewing Liz Kendall and what was clear was that she revealed no passion for anything. She could not use the word Socialiam, she did not mention any Green or radical thought. She would not say anything of any significance to anyone. She would not commit to say if she supported welfare cuts, she said nothing of any value at all. As I was ironing I reflected that I had more respect for Phillip Hammond because at least i could loath his position and outlook and I could understand where he came from. Perhaps the ghost of Mandelson operates Liz Kendall's campaign. The point though is I wonder how Jeremy Corbyn for Labour Leader feels about individuals like her dominating the party he clearly loves, how he must feel seeing Andy Burnham launching his campaign from an "acountants office". I hope that a massive realignment in the left will occur. I hope that it arises from the Green Party, the Left of the Labour Party , from the Ecosocialists within Plaid, from the rejection of the corporate parties that dominate our political parties and from groups like 38 degrees and the Transition Town movement. Realignment could occur dramatically fast and I long for it. But till then I see only one party dramatically growing....forming the nucleus and elemental solvent of the way forward.
