- someone for whom the current mythic forms are lifeless
- someone who finds their ego and its concerns cannot makeup for the dry wasteland that remains after this resulting loss of symbolic content and meaning
- someone who discovers they must make the descent themselves into the depths to "rescue" the soul captive (ignored) there, and bring it to the surface. Bringing an awareness of the depths into conscious life.
